Following the recent announcement of their tour-closing dates in Japan, heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have officially confirmed they will be bringing their monumental “Run For Your Lives” world tour to Australia and New Zealand.
Setting the stage for their grand finale in Yokohama later in the month, the band will first head to the Southern Hemisphere in early November 2026. The trek will kick off in Auckland, New Zealand, before crossing over for a highly anticipated string of major arena and stadium shows across Australia.
This official announcement puts an end to months of industry speculation and guarantees fans in the Asia-Pacific region a chance to witness the band’s massive 50th-anniversary celebration.
The upcoming run promises to be one of the biggest rock events on the 2026 calendar for the region. The routing includes a massive stop at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium, highlighting the sheer scale of the production Iron Maiden is bringing on the road. The “Run For Your Lives” tour features an elaborate stage build designed to reflect five decades of heavy metal history, alongside a career-spanning setlist.

Steve Harris expressed his enthusiasm about bringing the tour to a close in a country that has supported the band for decades.
“We are very excited to be bringing this ‘RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TOUR‘ to Japan later this year. And even more so as we are ending the entire two year world tour in Yokohama. I have always loved spending time in Japan, and we enjoy coming back whenever we can to play for our fans there. So it feels extra special for us to be sharing the final two nights of this incredible tour with you all in Japan. It’s going to make it a truly memorable occasion for us all.”
Longtime manager Rod Smallwood also shared his thoughts:
“We are delighted to be returning to Japan once again. I know it may seem a long time for our Japanese fans to wait to see this show, but it means a lot to us to finish the tour there, and I can promise our fans that they are in for a treat with this setlist and production. We are very excited to share it with you!”
Smallwood elaborated on the setlist, confirming that the band will be performing some of their most iconic tracks, some of which may be retired from live sets after this tour concludes.
“The band have been loving revisiting this era and especially enjoy playing these songs with the state-of-the-art visuals we’ve created to accompany them. We’ve got all the big ones from the early days including ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’, ‘Run To The Hills’, ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘The Trooper’, ‘Number Of The Beast’, ‘Killers’, ‘Powerslave’, ‘2 Minutes To Midnight’ and more. Plus there’s some true epics including ‘Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ and ‘Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son’, which will be even more special because these shows will be at the very end of ‘The Run For Your Lives Tour,’ and so the final time the band will ever be playing a number of these songs.”
