British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have officially announced a strict phone-free policy for the standing and general admission areas of their upcoming concert at the La Défense Arena in Paris, France.
The highly anticipated performance, scheduled for June 22, 2026, is part of the band’s massive “Run For Your Lives” world tour. According to the group’s latest social media update, the Paris show is being professionally filmed for an upcoming live concert movie. To ensure the absolute best visual experience and keep glowing screens out of the crowd shots, the band has partnered with Yondr to secure all mobile devices.
Upon entering the venue, fans in the standing sections will be required to place their phones into specialized Yondr pouches. These pouches will be securely locked for the duration of the event, though attendees will keep the pouches in their physical possession the entire night. The devices will then be unlocked by staff as fans exit the arena.
While the general admission floor will be completely phone-free, the venue will provide designated areas where fans can access their devices in case of an emergency. Additionally, the band issued a reminder for concertgoers to bring physical payment cards to the show, as they will not be able to use digital wallets on their phones to purchase drinks or merchandise at the venue.
The band wrote:
“Paris standing area: phone-free space
The standing/General Admission area in La Défense Arena will be entirely phone-free to make sure the experience is optimal for the live recording of the Run For Your Lives Tour film.
Yondr pouches will be provided upon entry to the venue to store your mobile device during the show. Your device will be locked in the pouch on arrival and unlocked when you leave at the end of the night.
Please note:
There are areas within the arena where you will be able to access your phone for emergencies
You will need a physical payment card for the bars or merch stands
Your pouch will stay with you for the duration of the show – no one else will be handling your device”
Following the European dates, Iron Maiden will bring the critically acclaimed “Run For Your Lives” world tour to North America. Celebrating their 50th anniversary, the band will deliver a state-of-the-art production to stadiums and major amphitheaters across the United States and Canada. The tour focuses exclusively on the groundbreaking material from their first nine studio albums and includes a headlining appearance at the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky on September 17, 2026.
According to a press release, these upcoming performances mark 45 years since the band first visited North America on the 1981 “Killer” world tour and will feature some of the largest-scale productions they have ever brought to the region.
