Iron Maiden has once again expanded its 2026 “Run For Your Lives” North American tour, adding a second and final show in New Jersey. The band announced today (November 10) that a new performance has been scheduled for September 06, 2026, at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ.
In their official statement, the band cited the reason for the new date as “overwhelming demand” and made it clear this is the last opportunity for fans on this leg.
The band stated: “There will be no further shows added to the North American leg of the “Run For Your Lives” World Tour 2026.”
This final addition follows previous second shows being added in Toronto and Los Angeles, highlighting the massive demand for this 50th-anniversary celebration. The tour’s concept is a major draw for fans, as the band is focusing its setlist entirely on material from its first nine groundbreaking studio albums.
The tour also features one of the year’s biggest support packages. Megadeth, currently on their own final world tour, will serve as direct support for all dates, with Anthrax joining the bill for the stadium shows.
Bassist Steve Harris commented on the massive lineup: “We are greatly looking forward to bringing this Run For Your Lives Tour to North America. Megadeth are playing all the shows and it’s an honour to have them join us on their last ever tour. We also have Anthrax with us… we had a great time with them when they came out with us on Ed Force One around the world in 2016.”
Frontman Bruce Dickinson expressed his own enthusiasm for performing the classic-heavy set.
“This whole tour has been such great fun. I really enjoy belting out all these great old songs, and the whole band are loving playing them too!” Dickinson said. He listed classics like “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” “Run To The Hills,” “The Trooper,” “The Number of the Beast,” “Killers,” and “Powerslave,” adding “some of them we haven’t played in the US for over 20 years!!” He also confirmed the return of epics: “Plus there’s some real epics including my particular favourite ‘Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ and ‘Seventh Son‘… We are doing them all and more.”
Manager Rod Smallwood explained that the move to larger, outdoor venues is to accommodate the new production. “For a tour celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Iron Maiden, the scale and incredible visual aspects of this show deserve larger venues…” he stated. “We particularly chose this time of year to go bigger outdoors but to give us darkness when we go on stage so you will see the best of the production.”
Smallwood also reiterated the band’s strong “no phone” request. “So for all our North American shows we are once again requesting that fans keep their phones in their pockets and enjoy the show ‘in the moment’… So if a so-called fan near you thinks they are special and filming what they selfishly want please just ask them, very politely of course, to put their phone somewhere the sun doesn’t shine!”
