Foo Fighters caused a massive frenzy today, Sunday morning, February 22, by announcing three last-minute, intimate club shows for this week.
Frontman Dave Grohl and the rest of the band revealed they will hit the stage at Dublin’s Academy on Monday, February 23, London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday, February 25, and Manchester’s O2 Ritz on Friday, February 27.
To combat scalping, the band required fans to purchase tickets strictly in person. Box offices opened at noon on Sunday, offering tickets on a first-come, first-served basis for £99 each, with a strict limit of two per person (as reported by NME).
Predictably, massive lines formed outside all three venues long before the midday opening. By 1:55 p.m., the band confirmed on social media that both the Dublin and Manchester dates were completely sold out. London tickets remained available until the box office officially closed at 5:30 p.m.
Successful fans took to social media to share their excitement and applaud the band’s anti-tout ticketing approach. One lucky concertgoer expressed their shock and joy:
“Foo Fighters tickets secured for tomorrow what a fever dream morning that was”
Another fan praised the strategy for ensuring actual listeners get into the building rather than scalpers:
“Well done Foo Fighters. I love what they’ve done,” wrote one X user. “You can only buy tickets at the venue and the surprise announcements. Real fans get to see the band and what I really like is it’s bad news for touts.”

These surprise gigs arrive just days after Foo Fighters announced their upcoming 12th studio album, Your Favorite Toy. Slated for release on April 24, the record was previewed on February 19 with its explosive lead single and title track, “Your Favorite Toy“.
Speaking about the upcoming record, Dave Grohl recently teased that the new material is packed with “noisy, loud bangers” that sound like they are straight out of “the old days”.
Your Favorite Toy Tracklist:
- “Caught In The Echo”
- “Of All People”
- “Window”
- “Your Favorite Toy”
- “If You Only Knew”
- “Spit Shine”
- “Unconditional”
- “Child Actor”
- “Amen, Caveman”
- “Asking For A Friend”
Following this brief run of club dates, the band will embark on a massive stadium run. The itinerary includes a European leg featuring two nights at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium in late June. North American dates will follow in the summer, with a recently announced Australian and New Zealand tour set for late 2026 and early 2027.
