Howard Jones Rejoins Stage With Killswitch Engage In Connecticut (Video)

Good news coming out of the Killswitch Engage show. It looks like the band and their former vocalist Howard Jones are still on great terms. For those who might’ve missed it, Jones actually jumped on stage with Killswitch Engage again on April 8th at the College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut. He joined the current frontman Jesse Leach to belt out “The Signal Fire.” Fan filmed footage is available below.

This isn’t the first time this has happened, as Jones also sang on the studio version of the track back in 2019 on their album Atonement. He’s even joined them live a bunch of times before. Plus, Jones and Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam D. have a new band brewing, so yeah, there’s definitely no bad blood there.

Back in 2012, Jones left the band. It wasn’t easy for him; he was dealing with manic depression and bipolar disorder. After leaving, he started a new band called Devil You Know with some other musicians. Later, in 2017, they changed their name to Light the Torch.

Before Jones joined Killswitch Engage, Jesse Leach was actually their singer for their first two albums . Then Leach left, and Jones stepped in for the next few albums. But in 2012, the band had to part ways with Jones because he was going through some tough personal stuff, including health issues like untreated diabetes, according to the band’s bassist Mike D’Antonio who said at the time: “It became very apparent we had to move on without him. Howard didn’t quit.”

The band also has a huge North American tour planned for 2025. Here’s where you can catch them:
