Heavy metal icons Iron Maiden are preparing to storm North America this fall on their massive “Run For Your Lives” world tour, sparking an immediate scramble for tickets across the continent. The arena and stadium trek represents a monumental milestone for the British metal institution, officially celebrating 50 years since their formation. To mark a half-century of dominance, the group has promised a historic retrospective setlist drawn exclusively from their first nine studio albums.
The tour kicks off on August 29 in Toronto and will tear through major music markets before wrapping up at the end of September. Adding massive value to the bill, thrash pioneers Megadeth are locked in to provide support for the majority of the tour, with fellow legendary outfit Anthrax joining the lineup for several high-profile dates.
While the milestone anniversary has pushed the band into a celebratory mood, complemented by the release of their new documentary film, “Burning Ambition“, the musicians have fiercely dismissed any speculation that this is a farewell tour. Discussing the band’s future, lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson provided a definitive statement on their collective longevity.
“Fifty is always going to be a big, symbolic number. We are not showing any signs of coming to an end, but we will. Inevitably, it will happen. How it happens, when it happens, we don’t know,” Bruce told Rolling Stone earlier in April.
During a recent interview with The Guardian, Steve Harris addressed the impending hiatus, admitting he would prefer to keep the touring momentum going.
“It looks like we’re taking next year off,” Harris said at the time. “Personally, I didn’t want to, but that’s me. I’m just one of six people, despite what people might think. They don’t just all do as they’re told. Otherwise we’d be doing stuff next year, too.”
With demand reaching a fever pitch, securing admission requires navigating a highly competitive primary and secondary ticketing market. The primary seller for the entire North American leg is Ticketmaster, where standard general admission and reserved seating were initially launched. Due to the historical significance of the tour, primary ticket allocations for major metropolitan stops are rapidly exhausting, forcing many fans to look toward alternative avenues to guarantee entry.
For those encountering sold-out venues or seeking specific seating arrangements, several verified secondary ticketing platforms are currently hosting active resale inventories. Each marketplace offers distinct features for consumers navigating the high-demand run. StubHub stands as a prominent choice, providing fans with simulated virtual seat views to verify sightlines alongside their standard FanProtect guarantee. Resale tickets on the platform fluctuate heavily by market; for instance, highly competitive dates at the TD Garden in Boston are commanding premium entry prices starting around $440.
Meanwhile, platforms like SeatGeek are offering alternative entry points, often featuring interactive venue mapping and a focus on upfront fee transparency. Ticket prices on SeatGeek show a wide variance depending on the venue’s scale, with single seats for the Boston performance hovering near $400, while less congested stops like the band’s Texas and Pennsylvania appearances feature get-in prices dropping below $50 and $60, respectively.
For fans hunting for specific marketplace incentives, VividSeats is another robust secondary option. The platform actively rates listed tickets by an internal value score to help buyers locate the best deals, with current inventory starting under $175 for the highly anticipated New Jersey stadium stop. Buyers can also utilize the promotional code RS30 to receive a $30 discount on ticket transactions exceeding $300. Additionally, TicketNetwork remains an active option for secondary market seats, listing New Jersey entry tickets starting just under $200 while offering their own promotional incentive via code RS150, which slashes $150 off purchases totaling $500 or more.
Iron Maiden has announced earlier that they will be taking a “well-earned break from the road” and will not be touring in 2027.
Iron Maiden will be officially inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this November. However, the current active lineup will not attend the ceremony in Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, due to their ongoing touring commitments.
Founded in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, Iron Maiden has become a cornerstone of the heavy metal genre. The band’s influence extends beyond music into products like Trooper Beer, which has sold over 40 million pints, and their own Royal Mail stamp set, an honor shared with only a few other legendary acts like The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd.
During their 50-year run, the band famously traveled to many of their tour dates aboard Ed Force One, a customized Boeing aircraft piloted by Bruce Dickinson. The group continues to be recognized with numerous awards, including Grammy and Brit accolades, as they celebrate their ongoing legacy.
