Hard rock veterans Guns N’ Roses have announced that keyboardist Melissa Reese will not participate in the band’s upcoming spring tour. According to a brief statement released by the group, her absence is due to “unforeseen personal reasons.”
Guns N’ Roses wrote: “Melissa Reese will not be joining the band on tour due to unforeseen personal reasons. We hope our fans understand.”
The massive 2026 world tour is scheduled to kick off tomorrow, March 28, in Monterrey, Mexico. The extensive trek will take the group through South America and Europe before returning to the United States. A full North American summer run of stadiums and amphitheaters will officially launch on July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Melissa Reese made history when she joined Guns N’ Roses in 2016, becoming the first female member of the legendary rock outfit. She was originally recommended for the position by former drummer Bryan “Brain” Mantia, with whom she had previously collaborated. Stepping in to replace Chris Pitman, she took on the role of second keyboardist alongside longtime member Dizzy Reed. Her live debut took place on April 1, 2016, at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California, marking the start of the highly successful “Not In This Lifetime…” tour.
