Guns N’ Roses turned the Los Angeles night sky into a billboard on Monday, November 24, utilizing a fleet of 500 drones to announce their highly anticipated return to the global stage in 2026.
The aerial display took place above the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where the drones formed massive, rotating 3D versions of the band’s classic iconography and logos during a 12-minute performance. The custom-programmed light show culminated in the official revelation of the band’s 2026 world tour itinerary, which includes a historic homecoming performance at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on September 5, 2026—marking the band’s first show at the venue in over three decades.
The stunt was produced in collaboration with Sky Elements Drone Shows. Kyle Pivnick, the company’s vice president, released a statement regarding the collaboration:
“Sky Elements was honored to be a part of the Guns N’ Roses world tour announcement. With 500 drones flying over the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, it was an iconic moment, and symbolic to the band’s return to the world stage.”
Duff McKagan wrote on Instagram: “Guns N’ Roses made it a classic LA moment! Following the official 2026 world tour announcement with a glowing drone show above the city.”
The massive trek is scheduled to launch in March and April with stadium dates across Mexico and Brazil, followed by a brief stint in the U.S. before the band heads to Europe in June. The tour will then return to North America for an extensive 18-date run kicking off on July 23 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Major stops include Toronto, St. Louis, Las Vegas, and Atlanta, before wrapping up in September.
The tour news arrives alongside the confirmation of fresh material from the band. Guns N’ Roses is set to release two new singles, “Nothin‘” and “Atlas“, on December 2 via Geffen. These tracks mark the first new music from the group since 2023.
