Godsmack has officially released their brand-new live album and accompanying concert film, Live At Mohegan Sun. To celebrate the release, the band dropped a high-octane live performance video for the track “Surrender“.
Captured on October 26, 2024, at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, the release holds significant emotional weight for longtime fans. Arriving today, May 1, the live collection serves as a definitive final sendoff for guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Shannon Larkin. Both musicians departed the band in the spring of 2025, with Godsmack since welcoming two new members into the fold to replace them.
Frontman Sully Erna released a statement regarding the concert film’s release and its connection to their extensive upcoming touring plans:
“Live at Mohegan Sun captures a moment we’ll always carry with us—the energy, the connection, and the gratitude we feel for the fans who’ve taken this journey with us. Releasing this album as we launch the ‘Rise of Rock World Tour‘ feels powerful. It honors where we’ve been while pushing us forward into what’s next.”

The band is hitting the road heavily to support the release, launching their “Rise of Rock World Tour” across North America with Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy. Following the US leg, the group will head to Europe for a string of summer festival appearances and headlining shows.
