Anyone who missed The Purple Daisies‘ sold-out first outing is getting a second shot at the one-off collaboration. Following the strong response to their debut in Illinois, the Glenn Hughes-fronted project has locked in another date, bringing the two-set celebration to the West Coast.
The newly announced show goes down October 2, 2026 at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California, spurred on by the demand that followed the group’s first appearance under The Purple Daisies banner. The lineup reunites Hughes — on both lead vocals and bass — with The Dead Daisies members Doug Aldrich (guitar), Tommy Clufetos (drums) and founder David Lowy (guitar), with Gilby Clarke also listed on the bill for the California date.
As with the first concert, the evening is split in two: an opening run of The Dead Daisies favorites before the night shifts into a set devoted to the classic catalog of Deep Purple, the band Hughes helped define in the mid-1970s.
The Purple Daisies made their live debut on May 30, 2026 at the historic Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois, with Hughes joined by Aldrich, Clufetos and Lowy. That show sold out fast and drew fans from around the world, which is exactly what led to the California follow-up.
Lowy made clear the encore wasn’t part of any master plan. “This wasn’t something we planned,” he said. The response from fans after the Arcada show was incredible. We had so many people asking if we’d do it again, so we’re excited to bring The Purple Daisies to Los Angeles for one more unforgettable night.”
Professionally filmed footage from St. Charles — three Dead Daisies tracks alongside three Deep Purple classics, including “Burn“, “Highway Star” and “Mistreated” — has also been released online.
