Just one day after concluding their monumental “Skeletour” world tour by filming a concert movie in Mexico City, the enigmatic rock band Ghost is already teasing their next move. Cryptic posts from several large U.S. arenas have appeared online, hinting at a new North American tour for 2026, with a full announcement expected on September 29.
The new teases began appearing on Friday, September 26, on the social media pages of several major U.S. venues, including the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee, and the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The posts suggest a major announcement is imminent, with fan speculation running rampant that a full 2026 U.S. tour is on the horizon.
In a move that signals the immediate start of their next chapter, these new tour teases have appeared just one day after the band wrapped their massive, year-long “Skeletour.” The final two performances of that tour, which took place on September 24 and 25 at the Palacio De Los Deportes in Mexico City, were professionally filmed on “16mm film” for a future concert movie release.
In a statement posted after the final show, the band confirmed the filming.
“Children of Mexico! Two out of three nights of heat, jumping, singing, passion, rawk, roll and filming at the classic Palacio De Los Deportes,” the statement from a “Nameless Ghoul” read. “We shot it all on 16 mm, for the rest of the world to see at some point. But for now it’ll be our little secret. Again; Deepest apologies for the first night being cancelled. Thank you and Good Night.”
With the “Skeletour” now officially in the history books and set to be immortalized on film, Ghost is wasting no time in preparing their next move for their North American congregation. Fans should keep their eyes peeled for the official announcement this coming Monday, which will reveal the full scope of the band’s plans for 2026.
