Ghost 2025

The highly anticipated U.S. leg of Ghost’s “Skeletour” has officially begun, bringing the Swedish rock band’s famed theatrical production to stages across the country. This extensive tour supports their latest album, Skeletá, which achieved a significant milestone earlier this year by climbing to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200, marking a first for the acclaimed group.

The opening night took place on July 9, 2025, at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. Ghost delivered an expansive 22-song set, concluding with a dynamic three-song encore. The performance pleased long-time fans with the return of several tracks not heard live in years. Notably, “Per Aspera Ad Inferi” made its appearance for the first time since 2019, and “Satan Prayer,” absent from live sets since 2020, also reappeared.

From their chart-topping album Skeletá, four distinct songs were featured: “Lachryma,” “Peacefield,” “Satanized,” and “Umbra.” For many in the audience, this concert provided their first opportunity to experience these newer songs performed live, now that Ghost is performing across the United States.

True to their reputation, Ghost presented a visually stunning and elaborate show. The band’s brilliant, ornate production continues to captivate audiences, fitting perfectly with the image of a band still steadily ascending in popularity.

Just days before the tour’s kickoff, Ghost frontman Papa V Perpetua himself made a notable appearance on July 5 at the “Back to the Beginning” concert. This historic tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath saw Papa join one of the all-star bands, performing Ozzy‘s classic “Bark at the Moon” for a stadium filled with metal fans in Birmingham, England, the birthplace of metal music.
