Gene Simmons Cancels Solo Tour Dates Without Explanation, Sparking Speculation on Ticket Sales

Kiss legend Gene Simmons has unexpectedly called off several dates on his solo band tour, leaving fans confused and disappointed.

On Thursday, March 20, ticketholders for certain shows on the Gene Simmons Band’s North American tour received an email informing them of the cancellations.

“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” the emails read. “You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.”

Initially, Gene Simmons’ official tour page listed five canceled performances: Anaheim’s House of Blues, Auburn’s Muckleshoot Casino Events Center, Magna’s Great Saltair, Miami Beach’s Fillmore, and Houston’s House of Blues. However, fans later reported receiving cancellation notices for additional shows in Tallahassee and Denver, suggesting the impact may be even broader.

The Moon, a venue in Tallahassee, Florida, hinted at a full tour cancellation, stating: “Good day. Well, not so good with this news… the Gene Simmons tour has been cancelled.”

While the Kiss icon has yet to comment on the matter, many are speculating about the reasons behind the sudden decision.

Gene Simmons previously offered fans a unique experience— the chance to be his roadie for a day during the upcoming Gene Simmons Band tour.

For $12,495, one fan per show could purchase the exclusive “Personal Assistant and Band Roadie for the Day” package, which included a range of perks:

  • Meet Gene Simmons and the band early in the day at their hotel or designated location to go over the schedule.
  • Join the Gene Simmons Band team crew for the entire day.
  • Receive an official crew member shirt, hat, and VIP laminate.
  • Share a meal with Gene Simmons, either at the hotel or backstage.
  • Arrive and load into the venue with the band.
  • Assist in setting up for the show.
  • Hang out backstage and sit in on soundcheck.
  • Be introduced on stage by Gene Simmons during the performance.
  • Receive a signed setlist.
  • Take photos throughout the experience.
  • Bring one guest.
  • Get four personal items signed (excluding instruments and parts).
  • Take home a Gene Simmons (Kiss-rehearsal-used) bass, autographed by Simmons himself.

Show tickets were not included in the package and had to be purchased separately from the venue.
