Tom Morello has added seven more names to “Power To The People“, the one-day festival he has curated for Saturday, October 3 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready, Nathaniel Rateliff, Stephen Stills, State Radio and The Last Internationale all join a bill already carrying Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Bruce Springsteen and Joan Baez.

More has also been confirmed about Jack Black‘s slot. He will front a group billed as Jack Sabbath, made up of Roman Morello, son of the festival’s curator, Revel Ian, son of Scott Ian and a member of XCOMM, drummer Yoyoka Soma and Hugo Weiss.

The five have worked together before, on a filmed version of Ozzy Osbourne‘s “Mr. Crowley” that was screened during “Back To The Beginning“, the Black Sabbath farewell concert at Villa Park in July 2025. No setlist for the festival has been announced.

That show runs through this bill in other ways. Butler played it as part of the original Black Sabbath lineup, Anthrax performed, and Morello was its musical director. The concert film opens in cinemas next month.

The festival was announced in May, from the stage at Nationals Park in Washington, where Springsteen told the crowd about it mid-set with Morello in his touring band.

“The ‘Power To The People‘ festival is about freedom, justice, equality and rock and roll. It’s about the power everyday human beings have when they come together through music, art, community, and action. We’re honored to bring this incredible lineup to the DC area for a day that celebrates the spirit of activism, creativity, and hope,” Morello said at the time.

Organisers describe it as a non-partisan day built around peace, justice, solidarity, music and community action, with performances across two stages and a set of non-profit partners attached.

The event sold out after going on sale in May. Alongside the new additions, the festival has launched a Face Value Ticket Exchange, allowing people who can no longer attend to sell to those who missed out at the original price.

State Radio‘s appearance is the most unusual booking on the list. The project of Dispatch co-founder Chad Stokes ran from 2002 to 2013 and has been inactive for thirteen years.
