Rush has officially postponed two upcoming performances at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The sudden scheduling changes come after founding frontman and bassist Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis, forcing him to take immediate vocal rest.
The affected performances, which were originally slated for June 30 and July 2, have now been pushed back to July 11 and July 13, respectively. Frustratingly for fans and the crew alike, the July 2 concert had already been rescheduled once before. That specific show was originally supposed to take place on June 24, but was moved after travel and border-related delays severely impacted the band’s touring production earlier in the month.
On Tuesday, June 30, Rush took to social media to share a comprehensive statement regarding the health-related postponements, assuring fans that all tickets will be honored for the new dates.
The band wrote: “To our fans,
“We are deeply sorry to share that we must postpone our June 30 and July 2 shows.”
“Geddy has been diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. After being evaluated by his doctors, he has been advised that he needs additional time to rest and recover before returning to the stage.”
“This is incredibly disappointing for all of us. We know many of you have made travel plans and have been counting down the days to these shows. Please know this decision was not made lightly. After more than 50 years of touring, we’ve always believed that if we’re going to step on stage, we owe you the very best performance we can give—and right now, that simply isn’t possible.”
“We’re grateful to everyone involved for helping us quickly find new dates to celebrate together.”
“The June 30 show has been rescheduled for July 11.”

“All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. If you are unable to attend, refund information will be available from your original point of purchase.”

For their highly anticipated 2026 touring cycle, core members Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson have notably expanded their live lineup. They are currently joined on stage by German drumming sensation Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. Anika Nilles is widely recognized for her impressive solo career and her time touring with the late Jeff Beck in 2022, while Loren Gold brings extensive live experience from his tenures with legacy acts like The Who and Chicago.
Rather than sticking to a rigid, static setlist each night, Rush has meticulously assembled a rotating pool of roughly 40 songs for this current trek. This approach allows the musicians to dynamically alter their performances from night to night, ensuring a completely unique experience for returning concertgoers.
