Heavy metal icons Judas Priest delivered a powerful and highly anticipated performance at Hellfest 2025 in Clisson, France, on June 21. Fans worldwide can now experience the full show thanks to a professional recording shared by ARTE Concert. This performance was a standout moment on the band’s current “Shield Of Pain” tour, which prominently celebrates the 35th anniversary of their classic 1990 album, Painkiller.

The “Shield Of Pain” tour has promised a “rare” and “unique set,” and Judas Priest certainly delivered at Hellfest. The band’s setlist prominently featured tracks from Painkiller, giving a special nod to the album’s significant milestone. Among the energized crowd, Judas Priest played seven songs from the celebrated record, including the title track, “Painkiller.” Other fan favorites from Painkiller that made the cut were “All Guns Blazing,” “Hell Patrol,” “A Touch Of Evil,” “Night Crawler,” “One Shot At Glory,” and “Between The Hammer And The Anvil.” This extensive inclusion of material from Painkiller offered a deeper dive into the album’s legacy for the devoted metal audience.

The “Shield Of Pain” tour’s goal to “defend the metal faith in a truly memorable experience” was undoubtedly realized in France, showcasing the band’s enduring power and the timeless appeal of their music.
