Eric Grönwall Iron Maiden Wasted Years

Former Skid Row and H.E.A.T frontman Erik Grönwall delivered his first full solo concert on Monday, May 25. The highly anticipated performance took place at Cirkus in Stockholm, Sweden, marking a major milestone in the vocalist’s returning career as a solo artist. Fan-filmed videos capturing the inaugural show have already surfaced online and can be seen down below.

The concert closely follows the release of his first fully original solo album, Bad Bones, which officially arrived on May 22. Built entirely on original material, the new record represents his most uncompromising work to date. The album captures the spirit of classic hard rock with organic instrumentation, reflecting his years of triumphs, setbacks, reinvention, and survival. It features a range of emotional depth, from the defiant title track, “Bad Bones“, to the emotionally charged “Praying For A Miracle” and the reflective honesty of “Written In The Scars“.

Erik Grönwall is widely recognized for his powerhouse vocals and commanding stage presence. Prior to launching his solo career, he spent nearly a decade fronting the Swedish hard rock band H.E.A.T before departing the group in October 2020. He also toured extensively across Europe and Japan, providing lead vocals for guitar legend Michael Schenker, and most recently served as the frontman for American heavy metal veterans Skid Row.

In September 2021, the singer shared a profound personal victory, announcing that he was officially cancer-free after receiving a life-saving bone marrow transplant the previous month.

The setlist for his solo debut featured a mix of brand-new live premieres from Bad Bones, classic covers, and defining tracks from his past bands.
