Former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent has made headlines once again with a highly unconventional release strategy for his long-awaited studio album, Guitarmageddon. In a recent social media update, the controversial musician declared the album finished and announced that it is now available exclusively in master format for a staggering $2 million.
In a detailed statement shared on his Facebook page, Vinnie Vincent outlined the exact terms of the unprecedented offering:
“GUITARMAGEDDON IS FINISHED,” he wrote. “It’s been a long time in the making. I am very proud of this very special album. THE ENTIRE ALBUM IS PRICED AT $2,000,000 USD.”
For the $2 million asking price, a prospective buyer will receive the ten mixed master tracks in their final product format, alongside all master files for the artwork, related posters, and individual vinyl and CD packaging designs for each song. This gives the purchaser the ability to release the album in its entirety or on a track-by-track basis across any physical or digital format.
However, the hefty price tag comes with strict stipulations. All marketing plans and release ideas must be explicitly approved by Vinnie Vincent. Furthermore, the initial $2 million does not grant the buyer any rights, titles, or interests in the actual copyrights or trademarks related to the product or the artist. Securing the composition rights requires a separate, negotiated agreement. The purchase does, however, include a perpetual license to utilize the Vinnie Vincent Invasion and Vinnie Vincent brand names for the lifespan of the album.
For those unable to afford the full $2 million, the guitarist is offering a second option: purchasing individual tracks for $200,000 each, subject to the same terms and conditions.
Transactions must be completed via PayPal, with no refunds or returns permitted once the master files and artwork have been transferred. Appropriate legal documents and licensing rights will be prepared and forwarded within three weeks, followed by the shipment of a hard drive containing the ten masters within two weeks of the completed purchase.

This extreme pricing strategy is an escalation of his previous, highly criticized release plan. In December, Vinnie Vincent announced he would sell Guitarmageddon one song at a time for $200 per CD, requiring strict pre-sale thresholds to be met before any physical manufacturing or shipping would occur. At the time, he defended the model as a necessary measure to combat piracy and guarantee fair compensation for his work.
Unfazed by the ongoing backlash from critics who view the prices as prohibitive, Vinnie Vincent remains fiercely defensive of his business model and the modern music industry landscape:
“Fair market price? Lol. That was yesteryear. Welcome to the new agenda. Artists can and will set their own standards and rules for the purchase price of their art… If you don’t agree with the price, don’t buy it. It’s that easy.”

The entire album will be offered in master format only for $2,000,000. This includes 10 songs mixed in master, final product format, all the master files of the artwork, related posters, and 10 separate vinyl and CD packaging art for each individual song, should the buyer choose to release the album on a per-song basis.
The buyer can choose to release the entire album in any format they desire…vinyl, CD, or any other configuration, in whole or in part, at their discretion. All marketing plans and ideas require approval by Vinnie Vincent. The price does not include any right, title, or interest in the copyrights and/or trademarks related to Vinnie Vincent or the product itself. If the buyer wishes to purchase any associated rights in the compositions, a separate agreement can be arranged and negotiated. The price will also include a perpetual license to use the brand name “Vinnie Vincent Invasion” and “Vinnie Vincent” for the life of the album.
