Former Exodus singer Steve “Zetro” Souza has announced that his upcoming 10-date solo tour of Latin America has been canceled by the promoter. The thrash metal veteran, who was set to perform classic tracks from his tenures in Exodus, Testament, and Hatriot, shared the unfortunate news with fans on a recent episode of his YouTube series, Zetro’s Toxic Vault.

Souza expressed his disappointment and regret over the tour’s cancellation, stating that he was looking forward to the shows and had been upfront about the uncertainty of the tour from the beginning. “A couple of months ago, we did an episode [of Zetro’s Toxic Vault] where I had gotten an offer for South America, and I remember telling everybody, I’ll believe this when it happens,” he said (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). He emphasized that the decision to scrap the tour was not his. “It is not on me by any way, shape, or form,” he said.

Addressing his dedicated fanbase in the region, Souza extended his apologies. “I love you guys. I love everybody down there. You’ve always been good to me,” he said. “You’re great rabid fans. I was really hoping to start the Zetro thing in South America, but this didn’t work out with that… I wanted to come.”

While the Latin American dates are off the table for now, Souza promised to reschedule the tour for next year once he can find a “reputable promoter” to work with. “I don’t wanna do this to you guys anymore,” he said. “This was the whole reason why I didn’t wanna do this in the first place. I didn’t wanna let you down.”

“I’m gonna postpone it till next year, but I’ve gotta find another reputable promoter to come to,” he told during the interview.

He also confirmed that his first two solo shows will still take place in Florida at the end of September. Following those dates, he will also embark on a three-date tour of Australia in early February 2026.

Souza shared some details about what fans can expect from his solo performances, noting that he is curating a setlist that will not conflict with Exodus‘s current tours. “I have a great set that I’m gonna play,” he said. “It shouldn’t affect anything Exodus does [on any of the band’s upcoming tours] because I’m completely playing absolute different songs that I know they won’t play. So if you go see them and you go see me, you are gonna see two different shows.” He explained that his set will include “really old-school deep cuts” and songs from his other projects.

The Zetro solo band includes Zakk Frye (rhythm guitar), Kyle Smith (lead guitar), Andrew Dewar (drums), and Donny “Death” Weissinger (bass).
