In a heartfelt tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, former Exodus singer Steve “Zetro” Souza and Death Angel drummer Will Carroll performed a cover of the Black Sabbath classic “Children of the Grave.” The performance took place on Saturday, August 16, at Vinnie’s Bar & Grill in Concord, California, during a concert by their AC/DC tribute band, AC/DZ. Fan-shot video (courtesy of Walter Morgan) of the show has been circulating online, capturing the moment the duo honored the iconic vocalist, who passed away on July 22.

The tribute comes as Souza prepares for a series of his own solo shows. He recently announced the first two U.S. dates of a tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Exodus‘s 2004 album, Tempo of the Damned. These performances are set to take place on September 27 in Fort Lauderdale and September 28 in Tampa, Florida.

These U.S. dates will precede a previously announced 10-show solo tour of Latin America, scheduled to run throughout September 2025. Billed simply as Zetro, the tour will feature a band composed of Zakk Frye and Kyle Smith of Slikk Wikked on guitars, Andrew Dewar of Vicious Intent on drums, and Donny “Death” Weissinger on bass. In addition to songs from his time with Exodus, Souza will be performing classic tracks from his other former bands, Testament (formerly known as Legacy) and Hatriot, as well as material from the Bon Scott era of AC/DC.

The upcoming tours mark a new chapter for the vocalist, following his recent departure from Exodus. It was announced seven months ago that the band had parted ways with Souza and welcomed back former singer Rob Dukes. Souza first joined Exodus in 1986, remaining until 1993, and then rejoined for a second tenure from 2002 to 2004. He returned to the band again in 2014 before his most recent split.

Ozzy Osbourne, a figure who deeply influenced generations of musicians, including Souza, was revealed to have died from a heart attack, with his death certificate also listing coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease as contributing factors.

The full list of previously announced Latin America dates for the Zetro solo tour are:

  • September 4: San José, Costa Rica
  • September 5: Bogota, Colombia
