Bay Area thrash legend Steve “Zetro” Souza has officially announced a homecoming performance for his solo project. The former Exodus vocalist will take the stage at the prestigious Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on Monday, January 26, marking the first time he has brought his solo band to the region that defined his career.
Souza shared his enthusiasm for the booking in a personal statement, revealing that the setlist will dig deep into his catalog, including material from his pre-Testament days in Legacy.
“Well, Bay Area, I have booked a home show. Monday, January 26 at the Great American Music Hall. Absolutely honored to play that place with my solo band for the very first time, I will be playing old school Exodus deep cuts that have not been played in a long time. I’m also playing most of the Legacy demo and some other Legacy/Testament songs. Joining me on the show will be the guys from Phantom Witch. I hope to see the Bay Area come out strong for the show. See you guys in the pit.”
The San Francisco date will serve as the capstone to a busy weekend for the vocalist. As previously reported, Souza is also scheduled to perform in Southern California just two days prior. On Saturday, January 24, 2026, he will play The Ballroom at The Grand Theater in Anaheim, California, coinciding with the 2025 NAMM convention festivities.
Souza has been vocal about his intention to differentiate his solo performances from a standard Exodus concert. Speaking via his YouTube channel, “Zetro’s Toxic Vault,” he elaborated on the curation process for these upcoming shows, promising a setlist tailored for die-hard fans who crave the obscure.
“I’ll be playing a lot of Exodus, a lot of deep cuts, a lot of songs that I’ve seen you guys, over the years through social media, chime in about wanting to hear,” Zetro explained. “So that’s what you will see… This will be an old-school evening of Bay Area thrash metal. I’ve even got a couple of very obscure [ones] because I think the Legacy [pre-]Testament songs that I’m playing don’t necessarily get played all the time anymore.”
He further clarified that while staples like “The Toxic Waltz” will likely make an appearance, the bulk of the 16-to-17-song set will focus on material that has gathered dust for decades.
“I would have to say, out of the Exodus songs that I have chosen, you’ve probably heard me — and I’m only gonna go on the last 10 years since I was back from 2014 until just six months, seven months ago — I would say there’s maybe only three or four that you have heard me sing in the set in the past. Everything else has not been played for a long time… I know one song I can’t even remember playing ever.”
For these performances, Souza will be backed by the same lineup that supported him during his initial solo outings in Florida last September:

Following the California dates, Souza will head overseas for a three-date tour of Australia in early February 2026.
