The musicians who backed the late Kiss legend Ace Frehley during his 2018 Australian run are heading back down under to celebrate his life and music. The lineup—featuring bassist Philip Shouse, guitarists and vocalists Ryan Spencer Cook and Jeremy Asbrock, alongside drummer Christopher Williams—will hit the road in September 2026 to honor the original Spaceman.

Fans attending the shows can expect a massive setlist featuring Frehley‘s 1978 solo album performed in its entirety, mixed with Kiss classics, Frehley’s Comet staples, and rare solo cuts dedicated to the diehards.

The tour will be supported by Kiss Klassic, an elite Adelaide-based collective with direct ties to the Kiss universe (having previously performed with both Bruce Kulick and Paul Stanley), who will deliver a carefully curated set of deep cuts. Also joining the bill is the highly respected Brisbane tribute act Kissit, performing an exclusive 1982-1992 era set.

2026 Australian Tribute Tour Dates:

  • Sep. 11 – Perth @ Rosemount
  • Sep. 12 – Adelaide @ Lion Arts Factory
  • Sep. 17 – Brisbane @ Crowbar
  • Sep. 18 – Sydney @ Crowbar
  • Sep. 19 – Melbourne @ Max Watts

Before heading to Australia, Shouse, Cook, Asbrock, and Williams are also scheduled to perform a special Frehley tribute set on April 17 at the Eastside Bowl in Madison, Tennessee.

The founding Kiss guitarist, born Paul Daniel Frehley, tragically passed away last October at the age of 74 in Morristown, New Jersey.

According to the Morris County Medical Examiner, his death was ruled an accident caused by blunt-trauma head injuries following a fall. Medical reports detailed that a CT scan revealed bone fractures to the back of his skull, multiple contusions, hemorrhages, and a subdural hematoma. The report also noted additional bruising on his abdomen, thigh, and hip, and indicated that he had suffered a stroke.

The beloved musician passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He had been placed on life support following a second fall at his home that resulted in a severe brain bleed, eventually leading his family to make the heartbreaking decision to remove him from the ventilator. A separate toxicology report remains pending.
