Modern heavy metal titans Five Finger Death Punch have officially launched the next chapter of their career with the release of their latest single, “Eye Of The Storm“. The track serves as the first glimpse into the band’s tenth studio album, a milestone project currently being recorded in Los Angeles and slated for a late 2026 release.

The arrival of the new music marks a double celebration for the group, as 2026 also signifies their twentieth anniversary as a band. Accompanied by an official lyric video, “Eye Of The Storm” signals a return to a more aggressive, foundational sound that helped establish the band two decades ago.

Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory has spent the last several months detailing the band’s mindset in the studio. According to the guitarist, the three-year writing period allowed the group to be exceptionally selective with their material, resulting in a sound that is both familiar and technically advanced.

“The new music has been turning out heavier than anything we’ve done in years, with a cinematic undertone running beneath it,” Zoltan stated. “We had three years to write this record and really live with it. We started with nearly 30 songs and carved it down to 14 or 15. We even considered a double album at one point.”

Zoltan Bathory, who was responsible for the majority of the music on the band’s earliest records, noted that the anniversary milestone pushed the band to recapture their initial intensity.

“This is our tenth studio album and our twentieth anniversary as a band,” he continued. “We knew we had to hit it hard. What excites me most is that I’m hearing the early era again, that grit, that bite, that aggression, while simultaneously exploring completely new territories. I wrote the music for the entire first album and most of the second, so that energy isn’t nostalgia for me; it’s where I come from. Those are my roots. It feels like coming home at full speed, while my brother Ivan [MoodyFive Finger Death Punch singer] is bringing some incredible lyrics and melodies, and his voice sounds absolutely huge on this record. I am really looking forward to the next decade.”

To support the release, Five Finger Death Punch will embark on a massive world tour. The North American leg, produced by Live Nation, is scheduled to kick off on Monday, July 20, at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, and will conclude on Friday, October 23, at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. Joining the band for this run is platinum-certified outlaw country musician Cody Jinks, who is promoting his current album, In My Blood, along with the rock outfit Eva Under Fire.

The anniversary celebration will extend into early 2027 with a European leg featuring Lamb of God as special guests, supported by Scotland’s Bleed From Within.

In addition to their musical legacy, the band is leveraging their massive platform for a unique charitable endeavor. Long known for their support of military veterans, Five Finger Death Punch has announced a partnership with Team USA ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. A portion of all ticket sales from the 2026 North American tour will be donated to high-performance programs for U.S. athletes as they prepare for international competition.

With the recording sessions in Los Angeles nearing completion, the band is expected to reveal the official album title and release date in the coming months. For now, “Eye Of The Storm” stands as a definitive statement of intent for a band that shows no intention of slowing down after twenty years at the forefront of the genre.
