A new era for Evanescence is officially underway. The band has announced its upcoming studio album Sanctuary, set for release on June 5, while also unveiling the powerful new single “Who Will You Follow” as a first taste of what’s to come.

The newly released track was co-written and produced by Zakk Cervini and Jordan Fish, known for their work with acts like Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox, Poppy, and Architects. The album will also feature additional production from Nick Raskulinecz, whose résumé includes collaborations with Korn, Foo Fighters, and Rush.

According to vocalist Amy Lee, Sanctuary represents years of dedication and emotional investment: “This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it. It’s overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection… good thing we have the tour all lined up or I wouldn’t know what to do with myself now! I’ve been completely obsessed. I’m dying for the fans to hear this.”

Fans will have multiple ways to experience the new record, with formats including digital, standard CD, deluxe CD, and a limited-edition box set. A double vinyl pressing is scheduled to follow on September 4.

In support of the album, Evanescence will hit the road for an extensive 2026 world tour kicking off June 11. The North American leg will feature Spiritbox and Nova Twins as special guests, while Poppy will join the European run. Additional support across select dates includes Nova Twins outside the U.K. and K.Flay, who will handle U.K. shows and appear at the band’s performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

The band is also continuing its philanthropic efforts by partnering with PLUS1, contributing $1/£1/€1 from every ticket sold toward global humanitarian aid and medical relief initiatives.

Momentum has been building for Evanescence in recent months, with singles “Fight Like A Girl” (featuring K.Flay) and “Afterlife” receiving strong reactions. “Afterlife” in particular achieved major chart success, reaching No. 1 on both Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and Mediabase’s Active Rock Radio chart in the U.S. and Canada, while also earning praise from outlets like Louder and Revolver.
