A powerful new video has emerged capturing one of the final — and most emotional — vocal performances from Ozzy Osbourne, filmed during rehearsals for his 2024 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Posted by sioproductions on YouTube, the behind-the-scenes footage shows the Black Sabbath icon unexpectedly stepping up to the mic during a private rehearsal in Cleveland. Despite ongoing health struggles that left many assuming he wouldn’t perform, Ozzy was overwhelmed by the moment and began singing his heartfelt 1991 ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”
“Got to work at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction last year (2024) in Cleveland and sit in on rehearsals,” the uploader wrote. “Ozzy wasn’t supposed to sing at all due to his health, but out of nowhere, overwhelmed with emotion, he took the mic and started singing. The whole room had chills.”
The performance, though unplanned and informal, carried a raw emotional intensity. His voice, weathered but deeply expressive, made for a haunting and poignant rendition — especially now, in light of Ozzy’s passing on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76.
“It was an honor to be in your presence and hear your aura,” the video description adds. “Thank you sir for providing the soundtrack to countless souls across the universe. Finally home, Ozzy Forever.”
While his recent “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert was his final official appearance, this newly surfaced clip offers fans an intimate and deeply human farewell — a rare glimpse at Ozzy’s enduring spirit and connection to the music that defined generations.
Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76, just weeks after reuniting with his Black Sabbath bandmates for a farewell performance. Paramedics reportedly battled for over two hours to save him after being called to his Buckinghamshire home. Thames Valley Air Ambulance confirmed that a helicopter was dispatched to the scene on the morning of July 22nd.
His sisters recently spoke to The Mirror, sharing their heartbreak: “It was a shock. He still had plans and things he wanted to do. We don’t know the details of his death, it’s still too early. It’s just so sad.” They added, “To us, he was our brother, not a celebrity. But the outpouring of love has been overwhelming. We’re so thankful he died in England, in the country he loved.”
