During Dream Theater‘s performance at the Sweden Rock Festival in Sölvesborg on Thursday, June 5, lead vocalist James LaBrie experienced a brief fall on stage. The incident occurred early in their set, as the band was performing the opening track, “Night Terror.” A fan-filmed video captured the moment, showing LaBrie slipping around the 6:50 mark of the song before quickly regaining his footing and raising his arm to signal to the audience that he was unharmed. The setlist for their Sweden Rock Festival show was as follows:
- “Night Terror“

- “Act I: Scene Three: I. Through My Words“
- “Act I: Scene Three: II. Fatal Tragedy“
- “Panic Attack“
- “The Enemy Inside“
- “Midnight Messiah“
- “Peruvian Skies” (with ‘Wish You Were Here‘ and ‘Wherever I May Roam‘ excerpts)
- “As I Am“
- “Pull Me Under“
This event occurred early in the band’s spring/summer 2025 leg of their “40th Anniversary European Tour,” which commenced on Tuesday, June 3, at Logomo in Turku, Finland. The European leg continues through July, with numerous festival appearances and headline shows across the continent.
Looking ahead, Dream Theater is set to embark on a major North American tour this fall. Dubbed “An Evening With Dream Theater – Parasomnia 2025,” this tour celebrates their recent chart-topping sixteenth studio album, Parasomnia. Released on February 7, 2025, via InsideOut Music, Parasomnia marked a significant milestone for the band as it was their first release featuring drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings. The album was produced by guitarist John Petrucci, engineered by James “Jimmy T” Meslin, and mixed by Andy Sneap. Hugh Syme once again contributed his artistic vision to the album’s cover art.
The U.S. tour will visit 30 cities across the United States, kicking off on September 5 in Reading, Pennsylvania, and concluding on October 25 in Long Island, New York. Dream Theater plans to perform the Parasomnia album in its entirety during these shows, alongside classics and fan favorites from their extensive catalog, promising an unforgettable evening of music for their devoted fanbase.
