Grammy-nominated power metal titans DragonForce have released a new music video for an alternate version of their track “Burning Heart,” which now features Arch Enemy frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz. This special rendition was originally a bonus track on select editions of DragonForce‘s acclaimed 2024 album, Warp Speed Warriors, and is now available as a standalone single.
White-Gluz shared her enthusiasm for the collaboration: “As a longtime DragonForce fan, it was such a fun experience to sing ‘Burning Heart‘! This band knows no speed limits — even as a vocalist I found myself tripping over consonants trying to keep up. It was a refreshing challenge. I’m happy to be a part of such a cool song and video.”
DragonForce guitarist Herman Li reciprocated the sentiment, stating: “Alissa has been one of my favorite metal vocalists for a long time. I’m thrilled that the stars aligned, allowing us to collaborate on this track. I believe ‘Burning Heart‘ is the perfect song for Alissa to showcase her remarkable vocal range and her stunning performance has elevated the song to another level.”
Formed in 1999, DragonForce has built a reputation as one of the world’s fastest bands, celebrated for their power metal anthems filled with intricate guitar solos, including their iconic platinum-selling hit “Through The Fire And Flames.” Several songs from Warp Speed Warriors have already surpassed a million streams on Spotify, demonstrating the band’s continued popularity.
This summer, DragonForce will conclude the final European leg of their “Warp Speed Warriors” tour, which includes major festival appearances and select shows alongside Powerwolf. Following their European commitments, DragonForce will join the German metallers for a North American tour, promising high-energy performances for their expanding fanbase.
The North American tour with Powerwolf kicks off in September at the Rebel venue in Toronto, ON. Tickets are available now.
