Doro Pesch has new music on the way, and fans should not have to wait long for it. Speaking at the Maid Of Stone festival, the German metal singer confirmed she is putting together a new EP she hopes to release before the year is out.
The disclosure came in an interview with Dawn Osborne of “TotalRock” at the festival, held at Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent. Asked whether she had anything new coming, Doro said (as transcribed by Blabbermouth):
“Yes, yes. Got new music on the way. I think in November, December, I wanna put out a mini album, an EP. It will be not a full album because now we are always on tour and doing the summer festivals, but it will be an EP. And I think it might — the work title is Wild At Heart. And, yeah, it’s already in the making.”
The short format is a scheduling decision. With a packed run of summer festivals and touring, a full album is not practical right now, so an EP lets her get new material out without stepping off the road. Later in the year she also has a “Winter Magic Tour” booked — seven exclusive German dates presented by Metal Hammer.
If it lands as planned, Wild At Heart would be Doro‘s first batch of fresh studio songs since her last full album, Conqueress – Forever Strong And Proud, released in October 2023 through Nuclear Blast.
The release she put out in between was a different kind of project. Last autumn’s Warriors Of The Sea, issued through her own label Rare Diamonds Production and distributed by Edel, was a special collection built around her seagoing shows rather than a standard album. It appeared in a strictly limited liquid-filled vinyl edition as well as a CD digipak and picture-disc vinyl.
That record grew directly out of her “Metal Queen Metal Cruises“. Two sold-out sailings in late May and early June 2025, followed by a third in June 2026, left fans wanting more music. Doro wrote the title track as an anthem for the cruise, and it quickly became a favorite at summer festivals. She rounded out the release with nine curated rarities on “Warriors” and “Cruise” themes — studio recordings on Side A, live cuts from her sold-out 2024/2025 tour on Side B.
The EP news comes at a point when Doro‘s standing in the genre keeps being formally recognized. In March 2025, she received a lifetime achievement award in her native Düsseldorf, presented in a full ceremonial setting by Klaus Meine, frontman of Scorpions.
The honor traced a career that started in the early 1980s with Warlock, when Doro became one of the first women to break through in a heavy metal scene dominated by men. She has since sold more than ten million albums and played over 3,500 shows across 60 countries, a body of work that places her among the most successful women rock has produced.
