Even though they recently announced an extended break from touring, heavy metal giants Disturbed added another live date to their summer schedule. The band has officially confirmed a new performance set for July 7 at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida.
This newly announced Florida show joins the band’s only other scheduled 2026 appearance, where they will headline the opening night of the Inkcarceration Festival in Mansfield, Ohio, on July 17.
For fans hoping to secure their spots early, the official fan club presale begins tomorrow, March 24. General public ticket sales will officially launch this Friday, March 27, at 10:00 a.m. EST.
This sudden burst of live activity comes as a bit of a shock to fans. Late last year, frontman David Draiman publicly stated that the group would be stepping away from the spotlight indefinitely. His comments arrived right after the band finished up their massive 25th-anniversary tour celebrating their debut album, The Sickness, on October 28.
Reflecting on that milestone trek, the singer posted a heartfelt message explaining the band’s need to rest.
“Headed home!!! Thanks so much to EVERYONE that made #TheSickness25 a tour to truly remember! Crew, Management, Agent, Promoters, and ESPECIALLY my brothers in Disturbed. Not sure when we will be headed back out. We all need a nice long break. Hope to see you when we do.”
In a separate update, he touched on the personal sacrifices of life on the road and his desire to finally unwind.
“Feeling high school high after not burning (except Amsterdam… that doesn’t count) for the last three months in preparation for #TheSickness25. Reflecting on the beautiful madness of it all. Looking forward to being with family and friends. Taking a nice long break.”
The band’s decision to step back followed a highly turbulent and controversial period for the vocalist. In 2024, David Draiman drew intense public criticism after sharing a photo of himself signing an artillery shell reportedly meant for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The image sparked massive online backlash and led to a vocal feud with the pro-Palestinian Irish rap group Kneecap.
The public tensions continued to mount in the months that followed. The frontman was reportedly booed by the crowd during a guest appearance at a Black Sabbath farewell concert in Birmingham. Hollywood actor John Cusack also heavily criticized the singer online, calling him “psychotic” in a viral post. Furthermore, a scheduled Disturbed concert in Brussels on October 15 was officially canceled by Mayor Charles Spapens, who cited severe security risks due to planned protests by activist groups.
