Dino Cazares: Fear Factory Completes First Album Tracking With Vocalist Milo Silvestro

During an interview with TotalRock at the Bloodstock Open Air festival, Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares offered a significant update on the band’s new album. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the first release featuring the band’s new members, vocalist Milo Silvestro and drummer Pete Webber.

Cazares confirmed that the album’s tracking is complete, and the band is now preparing to mix the record. He indicated that fans can expect the new album to be released sometime in 2026, with a tentative release date that aligns with next year’s summer festival season. “Everybody wants to know. So the record will be out next year,” he stated (as transcribed by Blabbermouth). “We’re done tracking it. All that’s left now is to mix the record… Everybody wants to know the date. I would say in time for the summer festivals next year.”

The guitarist also took the opportunity to praise the fan reception to Milo Silvestro, whom he described as being “100%” well received. Cazares explained the extensive process the new vocalist went through to prepare for his role, noting that Silvestro was “fresh off the boat” and received rigorous training. “I pretty much taught him everything I knew to get through all this and to be prepared for what’s to come,” Cazares said.

Cazares knew he had made the right choice in picking Silvestro after the singer’s impressive audition. “He was the only guy that showed up that didn’t have to look at his phone for the lyrics, what he sang,” the guitarist recalled. Silvestro’s preparedness was so notable that over the course of a three-day audition, he performed 15 songs without needing to consult the lyrics.

Currently, Fear Factory is on a European tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their classic album Demanufacture. Cazares noted how much he enjoys playing the band’s older material, stating, “I love playing our old classic songs because look at these people. They wanna hear it. We feel at home. We feel like we’re a part of these people.”
