Legendary Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has announced an extensive solo tour for the summer of 2025. The announcement comes just days after Roth made his return to the stage with his first full solo concert in over five years at the M3 Rock Festival.
The 21-date tour is set to kick off on July 22 in Paso Robles, California, and will conclude on September 14 in Napa, California, hitting numerous cities across the United States.
Fans eager to catch Diamond Dave live will have several opportunities to purchase tickets this week. A Live Nation pre-sale begins tomorrow, May 6th at 10 a.m. local time using the code “FREESTYLE”. The general on-sale follows on Friday, May 9th at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

Roth‘s return to live performance occurred this past Saturday, May 3rd, at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, Maryland. During the show, he humorously addressed his time away, joking, “We’ve reached the end of my first retirement… How many retirements did Rocky have? Nine?”
His festival setlist was packed exclusively with Van Halen classics and one cover, delighting fans with hits spanning the band’s early catalog.

This live appearance came on the heels of Roth’s recent solo releases featuring classic Van Halen tracks. Recorded live on May 3, 2022, at Henson Recording Studio in Hollywood, the session saw Roth lay down 14 songs in just two hours with guitarist Al Estrada, bassist Ryan Wheeler, and drummer Francis Valentino. The recordings were captured without samples or Auto-Tune, preserving a raw, authentic sound. Among the released songs are “Jump,” “Unchained,” “Everybody Wants Some!!,” “You Really Got Me,” “Dance the Night Away,” “Panama,” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love.”
Roth famously fronted Van Halen during their rise to superstardom, left for a successful solo career after the 1984 album, briefly returned in 1996, and then served as the band’s lead singer again from 2007 until their final tour in 2015. This new tour marks a significant return to the road for the iconic showman.
