Deftones Unveil Music Video For ‘My Mind Is A Mountain’

The highly anticipated release of Deftones’ tenth studio album, Private Music, is just around the corner, set for August 22, 2025. Adding to the growing excitement, the influential alternative metal quintet has now premiered the official music video for their lead single, “My Mind Is A Mountain.” This visual offering provides fans with a deeper dive into the sonic world of their first full-length project in five years.

Private Music marks a significant new chapter for Deftones. The album welcomes Fred Sablan (formerly of Marilyn Manson) on bass, making his debut recorded appearance with the band. At the production helm once again is Nick Raskulinecz, who previously worked on acclaimed Deftones albums like Diamond Eyes (2010) and Koi No Yokan (2012), signaling a return to a familiar yet evolved sound.
