Alternative metal pioneers Deftones have officially announced the return of their highly anticipated, self-curated music festival, Dia De Los Deftones, for the fall of 2026.
The single-day event will take place on November 7, 2026, returning to its usual home at Petco Park in San Diego, California. Since its inception, the festival has established a reputation for defying strict genre boundaries, creating a unique West Coast gathering that seamlessly blends metal, alternative rock, hip-hop, electronic, and experimental music.
For the 2026 edition, Deftones have assembled another heavily eclectic group of artists to share the stage. Joining the headliners this November will be indie rock mainstays The Neighbourhood, punk rock veterans AFI, genre-blending rapper Bktherula, mathcore pioneers Converge, and solo artist Jehnny Beth. Rounding out the experimental edge of the bill are Ladrones, Lip Critic, and LustSickPuppy.
The festival initially debuted in 2018 and took an brief three-year hiatus after its 2019 iteration, eventually returning to the band’s calendar in 2022.
Ticketing for the event is currently rolling out in distinct phases. The initial pre-sales went live on Wednesday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, with early access to tickets and exclusive VIP packages granted to fans subscribed to the official Deftones newsletter. The general public on-sale will officially launch on Friday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. PDT via standard ticketing outlets.
The festival announcement comes as Deftones continue to support their latest full-length studio effort, Private Music, which arrived last August via Reprise/Warner. The band tracked and co-produced the album across various studios in California—including sessions in Malibu and Joshua Tree, as well as tracking in Nashville, Tennessee. The album marked their third studio collaboration with Grammy Award-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz, who previously helmed two of the band’s most celebrated modern releases, 2010’s Diamond Eyes and 2012’s Koi No Yokan.
