Deftones Play Multiple ‘Private Music’ Tracks Live For The First Time (Video)

Deftones headlined their annual “Dia de los Deftones” festival on Saturday, November 1, treating their hometown San Diego crowd to a massive 21-song set that was packed with live debuts. You can see the full performance down below.

Performing at Petco Park, the alternative metal pioneers gave four songs from their acclaimed new album, private music, their first-ever live performance. The tracks that made their debut were “locked club“, “souvenir“, “cut hands“, and “i think about you all the time“, which closed out the main set.

In addition to the new material, Deftones also dusted off a fan favorite from their landmark 2000 album, White Pony. The band performed “Street Carp” for the first time since 2019, adding another major highlight to the night.

The festival, which also featured performances from Clipse, 2hollis, Deafheaven, and more, was a massive return for the band. Fan-filmed footage of the entire set, including the new songs, has begun to circulate online.

This was one of Deftones’ major U.S. appearances for 2025. The band is next set to headline the Sick New World Texas 2026 festival, where they will share the top bill with System of a Down and Slayer.
