Deep Purple Return To South Korea After 16 Years, Full Concert Video Available

Deep Purple recently delivered a landmark performance in South Korea, marking their first appearance in the country in over a decade and a half.

Deep Purple recently delivered a landmark performance in South Korea, marking their first appearance in the country in over a decade and a half. On April 18, the group took the stage at Culture Park within the Paradise City Resort in Incheon.

The monumental show spanned nearly two hours, featuring a 90-minute main set followed by a 20-minute encore. Prior to this event, the band’s last South Korean performances took place at the 2010 Olympic Park and the 1999 Triport Rock Festival.

The current active roster features classic members vocalist Ian Gillan, drummer Ian Paice, and bassist Roger Glover, alongside long-tenured keyboardist Don Airey and the band’s newest addition, guitarist Simon McBride.

During the Incheon concert, the band played a career-spanning setlist covering both their classic hits and modern material.

Following their successful return to Asia, Deep Purple will embark on a comprehensive North American summer tour. The six-week trek features progressive rock group Kansas as direct support, with Jefferson Starship joining the bill as an additional opening act on select dates.

The journey commences on August 04 in Raleigh, North Carolina, routing through major markets in the United States and Canada before concluding on September 12 in Sparks, Nevada.
