Dee Snider Blasts Kiss For Their Surprise Comeback: ‘People Still Put Up With Their S**t. To Me It’s Insulting’

After a two-year hiatus, Kiss is making a comeback with an unmasked performance at the Kiss Army Storms Vegas event, scheduled for November 14-16 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.

In honor of the Kiss Army’s 50th anniversary and three decades since the first band’s fan convention, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will be transformed into a unique Kiss-themed destination. This event will mark the band’s first time performing together since wrapping up their touring career in December 2023.

“In celebration of the Kiss Army’s 50th Anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the first Kiss fan convention, Kiss Army Storms Vegas will take place at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas from November 14-16, 2025!” the email reads. “This exclusive, ‘everything Kiss’ paradise marks the first time Kiss has performed together since retiring from touring in December 2023.”

While the full lineup of activities is yet to be disclosed, fans can anticipate a special live performance by former Kiss member Bruce Kulick, along with appearances from special guests, interactive experiences, and more.

“A full schedule of activities will be announced soon, but fans can expect a special live performance from former Kiss member Bruce Kulick, along with other special guests, interactive activities, exclusive experiences and more!”

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Vibee Experience Packages from Live Nation, providing an all-inclusive experience. These packages include a three-night stay at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, an unmasked band photo, entry to the live show, Q&A sessions, panel discussions, a special gift, a signed poster, memorabilia photos, and a collectible laminate and lanyard. The Kiss Army VIP pre-sale starts on March 27, with general fan and public sales opening on April 2 and April 7 at 7 am PT.

Not everyone is excited about Kiss’s return to the stage. Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider openly shared his thoughts on the announcement. He wrote: “So I was told today that a Kiss reunion in Vegas has been announce. 14 months since their last farewell. That may be a new record for them. I can’t believe people still put up with their s**t. To me it’s insulting.”

On December 2, 2023, Kiss played the final show of their End Of The Road farewell tour at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In a fall 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, Gene Simmons insisted that the band’s last performance on the End Of The Road tour would truly be their final show.

“My hand on the Bible,” he said. “And I should know because my people wrote that book. In fact, my people also wrote the follow-up book, the New Testament. And so I’ll say right here, right now, my hand on the Bible, it will be the final Kiss-in-makeup appearance.”

Explaining the band’s decision to retire, Simmons stated: “It has nothing to do with ticket sales or anything. It has to do with Mother Nature. And at a certain point, you have to understand that it’s going to be a point of diminishing returns because of the kind of band we are. I wear seven-inch platform dragon boots, each weighs as much as a light bowling ball, armor, studs, leather, all that stuff, and that weighs about 40 pounds in total. And I got to spit fire, and fly through the air, and all that, and you got to do it for two hours.”

Earlier this month, Gene Simmons has unexpectedly called off several dates on his solo band tour, leaving fans confused and disappointed.

On Thursday, March 20, ticketholders for certain shows on the Gene Simmons Band’s North American tour received an email informing them of the cancellations.

“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” the emails read. “You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.”

At first, Gene Simmons’ official tour page showed five canceled performances: House of Blues in Anaheim, Muckleshoot Casino Events Center in Auburn, The Great Saltair in Magna, The Fillmore in Miami Beach, and House of Blues in Houston. However, fans later reported receiving cancellation notices for additional shows in Tallahassee and Denver, indicating the impact could be even greater.

The Moon, a venue in Tallahassee, Florida, hinted at a full tour cancellation, stating: “Good day. Well, not so good with this news… the Gene Simmons tour has been cancelled.”
