Heavy metal icon Glenn Danzig has officially confirmed a new string of United States tour dates for his namesake band, Danzig, scheduled for this September. The upcoming seven-date trek will feature support from Twin Temple, Burning Witches, and ANA.
While the itinerary is relatively brief, the band hinted at a major surprise for the final stop of the run. According to Danzig, a “special announce for the Honda Center show” in Anaheim, California “will be posted later this week…Wait til you see that!!!”
Fans looking to secure their spot can access pre-sale tickets starting this Friday, June 19. The general ticket on-sale will follow on Monday, June 22.

Danzig‘s most recent album of original material, Black Laden Crown, was released in May 2017 through Evilive Records and Nuclear Blast Entertainment. He followed that up in April 2020 with Danzig Sings Elvis, a passion project consisting entirely of Elvis Presley covers.
Outside of music, Glenn has spent recent years focusing heavily on his filmmaking career. He wrote and directed the feature films “Death Rider In The House Of Vampires” and his directorial debut, “Verotika“. Upon its premiere at the Chicago Cinepocalypse festival in 2019, “Verotika” drew immediate comparisons to Tommy Wiseau‘s infamous cult classic “The Room,” earning a reputation among reviewers as a highly entertaining, so-bad-it’s-good cinematic experience.
The frontman has been openly discussing the eventual end of his touring career for nearly a decade. Speaking to Cleveland Scene back in 2015, the singer clarified that his frustration lies with the travel, not the performances.
“I love being on stage and that’s the great part of touring. I’ll always do that. It’s the bouncing around on a bus. That’s the part I hate,” he explained at the time.
The roots of the current band trace back to 1987. After moving from the legendary horror-punk of the Misfits into the darker, occult-driven sounds of Samhain, the singer caught the attention of producer and music mogul Rick Rubin. When Rick Rubin expressed interest in signing Samhain to his Def Jam imprint, the project evolved once more, leading to the creation of Danzig and launching a massive new chapter in heavy metal history.
