Danny Worsnop Allegedly Scrubbing Negative Warped Tour Comments, Say Fans

While the band’s official Instagram post from the event has been overwhelmed with negative reactions, Worsnop’s personal page tells a much calmer story.

Asking Alexandria frontman Danny Worsnop is once again drawing criticism—this time not just for his polarizing performance at the Warped Tour 25th anniversary show on June 15, but for what fans say is suspicious comment moderation on his social media.

While the band’s official Instagram post from the event has been overwhelmed with negative reactions, Worsnop’s personal page tells a much calmer story. Only a handful of mildly critical comments are visible among otherwise supportive replies—leading many fans to question whether the singer is deleting or hiding more pointed feedback.

Some eagle-eyed followers have noticed odd inconsistencies. In one post, Worsnop replied to a fan’s compliment, but Instagram indicates multiple replies—of which only his is visible. This has sparked speculation that other, less flattering responses may have been removed or hidden through Instagram’s moderation tools.

Adding to the speculation, fans have pointed out that Worsnop does not currently follow Asking Alexandria or any of his bandmates on Instagram. While that alone doesn’t confirm anything, the timing—coming directly after a widely criticized live set—has fueled talk of internal tension.

At the Warped Tour show itself, Worsnop’s performance was described by many as lethargic. Dressed head-to-toe in dark clothes, with gloves and a hoodie partially covering his face, the vocalist seemed disconnected. Despite performing live, his vocals were inconsistent—fans pointed to muffled screams, shaky clean sections, and awkward transitions. Footage from the crowd highlighted sound issues and a lack of energy that felt jarring for a band with Asking Alexandria’s reputation.

Some attributed the underwhelming show to technical difficulties, including poor sound mixing—a frequent problem at festivals. Others, however, speculated that Worsnop’s heart simply wasn’t in it. A brief Instagram Story from bassist Sam Bettley offering a vague apology did little to quiet the backlash.

Instagram allows users to limit or filter comments using certain tools, so it remains unclear whether Worsnop is manually deleting messages or simply relying on available moderation features. Either way, fans on Reddit and various fan forums seem convinced that an effort is being made to soften the online narrative.

With another Warped Tour date still ahead on July 26th, the spotlight remains firmly on Worsnop. Whether he addresses the controversy head-on or opts to stay silent, one thing is clear—fans will be paying close attention.
