Cryptopsy have officially unveiled the fully uncensored music video for “Malicious Needs,” the harrowing closing track from their latest studio album, An Insatiable Violence.

The original version of the video was initially restricted and deemed too graphic for unfiltered consumption on YouTube. Now, the unedited visual is available, fully exposing the explicit and dystopian themes that drive the record.

Addressing the release of the unedited video, vocalist Matt McGachy said:

“‘Malicious Needs’ is the last song that we wrote for An Insatiable Violence and right away, we were all completely enamored with it. We are thrilled to finally unleash the fully uncensored version of the video, which brings the dystopian horror story behind our latest album writhing and screaming into the light! Come see us perform this song during our headline set on this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour, which starts this month!”

The video release arrives during a monumental period for the Canadian extreme metal outfit. Currently marking their 30th year as a band, An Insatiable Violence recently secured them their second JUNO Award nomination for Best Metal/Hard Music Album, a category they previously won two years ago.

Simultaneously, the band is preparing to headline the annual Decibel Magazine Tour, where they will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Decibel Hall of Fame-inducted 1996 masterpiece, None So Vile.

Decibel Magazine Editor-In-Chief Albert Mudrian commented on the band’s enduring legacy:

“Between the strength of the material on their latest release, An Insatiable Violence, and the anniversary celebration of their landmark, None So Vile, 2026 is clearly the year of Peak Cryptopsy. We couldn’t be more honored to bring the band’s paramount present and potent past together to headline this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour.”

Following their North American run, the band will head overseas for their massive “Malicious & Vile Summer 2026” European Tour, featuring a mix of club shows and major festival appearances.
