Fans attending this year’s Brutal Assault Festival in the Czech Republic will no longer see Cradle of Filth taking the stage, as the British extreme metal outfit has announced that they have been forced to cancel their planned appearance.
The festival, which is scheduled to take place from August 5-8, 2026 at the Josefov Fortress in Jaroměř, was set to feature Cradle of Filth among its lineup of international metal acts. However, the band revealed that their participation will have to be postponed due to circumstances beyond their control.
Sharing the news with their Czech fanbase, the band wrote on social media: “Hello to all the Czech Filthlings. Due to circumstances very much out of our control we will be moving our appearance at Brutal Assault to another year. Thank you for understanding.”
Cradle of Filth did not provide additional information about the situation that led to the cancellation, but their message suggests that the band plans to return to the festival in a future year.
While their Brutal Assault appearance has been moved, the band will remain active on the touring front. Cradle of Filth are preparing to return to North America this fall for the second leg of their “Majestic In Death” tour, featuring support from Moonspell, Worm, and Black Satellite.
The upcoming run will also mark a special celebration for the band, as Cradle of Filth will honor the 30th anniversary of their influential 1996 album Dusk… And Her Embrace. The group is expected to include selected songs from the classic release in their live set.
The second leg of the “Majestic In Death” tour will visit the following cities:

The dates arrive as Cradle Of Filth continue touring behind their latest album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries, released in March 2025 via Napalm Records. The record was the band’s first to feature guitarist Donny Burbage, the final one to feature guitarist Marek “Ashok” Šmerda, and the only studio album to include keyboardist and vocalist Zoe Marie Federoff — the latter two having since exited the group, a departure that led to a lawsuit against frontman Dani “Filth” Davey and the band’s management, which the singer has denied any wrongdoing over. The band has since carried on with new guitarist Joff Bailey.
