Couple Gets Married In The Mosh Pit At Cannibal Corpse Show In Pittsburgh (Video)

Pittsburgh, PA – In a unique display of love and metal unity, a couple exchanged wedding vows amidst the swirling chaos of a mosh pit during a Cannibal Corpse concert earlier this week. On Tuesday, April 22nd, Erica and Christopher solidified their union while the legendary death metal band performed their track “Unleashing the Bloodthirsty” at Stage AE.

Surrounded by fellow fans, the ceremony, dubbed “Corrupted Nuptials,” demonstrated that romance can indeed thrive even in the most intense environments. The bride, Erica, took to Facebook shortly after to share her excitement and gratitude.

“Well we did it!” she posted. “Last night during the @cannibalcorpseofficial show in Pittsburgh we said our ‘I dos’ in the mosh pit! There is no community more united than the metal community!! The amount of support and love was amazing!”

Erica extended thanks to several individuals who helped make the unconventional wedding possible, including @docshow73 who officiated, @byoungokr as the ring bearer, and @hillenkp who safeguarded the marriage certificate. Special mention was given to the band’s bassist, Alex Webster. “Thank you to Barry Mull for introducing us to Webster! Thank you to Webster and every other metal head I could find for signing our marriage Certificate!!” Erica wrote. “This could not have been more perfect!”

The memorable wedding occurred just days before Cannibal Corpse concludes their current high-profile North American tour. The band has been providing direct support for Swedish progressive metal giants Meshuggah, alongside UK death metal pioneers Carcass, on a trek celebrating Meshuggah‘s latest album, Immutable.

Launched on March 28th in Quebec City, the tour has pummeled cities across the continent. It reaches its massive finale tonight, April 24th, 2025, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, capping off a run that has showcased the enduring power and, as demonstrated in Pittsburgh, the surprisingly communal spirit of the heavy metal scene.
