Nick Shabatura made his first onstage appearance with Corrosion Of Conformity on April 7 at Hell at The Masquerade in Atlanta, Georgia. Footage filmed by fans from the performance has since surfaced online via the AmyMeacham YouTube channel.
Shabatura, whose past work includes stints with Desecrate The Hour and Chicago’s Smells Like Nirvana, secured the position following a recommendation from Charlie Benante.
The Atlanta concert also served as the opening night of Corrosion Of Conformity’s North American headlining tour, featuring support from Wh*res and Crobot. The run began with shows in Atlanta and Greensboro on April 7 and 8 alongside Wh*res, before continuing to Sayreville on April 9, where the band joined Clutch for a series of dates through May 3 in Asheville, also featuring JD Pinkus. Corrosion Of Conformity will later reunite with Wh*res for performances on May 5 in Toronto and May 6 in Montreal, with Crobot appearing on all remaining dates through May 16 in New Orleans.
