Sevendust will begin their early 2026 European run without guitarist Clint Lowery, who has confirmed he will miss the opening stretch of dates on the tour alongside Alter Bridge and Daughtry. Stepping in during his absence will be Tim Tournier, a Chicago-based artist manager with hands-on experience across nearly every corner of the music industry, from performing onstage to working the merch table.
Lowery addressed the situation in a video message shared earlier today, explaining in part: “ I just wanna say I’m excited for the band Sevendust joining Alter Bridge across the pond, a full European tour coming up. As you guys know, a territory we have not hit enough at all, so it is gonna be a great opportunity for us to expand the band.”
“Unfortunately, I’m not gonna be able to make the front half of this tour for a couple reasons. First off, family commitments. I made a promise to my kids years ago I would not be gone a certain amount of time anymore. I’ve done some long stretches in my career, and I have to honor that promise and make sure that I’m present for them as well. Secondly, I had a couple of health issues last year. I have a couple of tests coming up just to confirm everything’s cool there before I join the band. Tim Tournier, our manager, my dear brother, one of my best friends, is gonna be filling in on guitar for me over there on the shows that I’m gonna miss. Please support him. He’s been great. He helped fill in on the Seasons tour that I missed some of the dates on.”
“So please just support the guys Alter Bridge, Daughtry, Sevendust, my tour family, my brothers. We’ve got a new record coming out we’re super excited about. So look out for details for that. Support the band.”
“We love you guys so much. God bless everyone. Be safe in the new year, and I’ll see you over there. And take care of each other. And I love you. God bless. Much love.”
In a message following the video, Lowery wrote: “Hello Sevendust family, as the video states I will unfortunately be missing the front portion of the upcoming European tour with our brother in @officialalterbridge. It’s a hard decision that I had to make but the right one for the season of life I’m in currently.”
He continued: “I adore the European fanbase there. I’ve had the pleasure of touring there a good amount and the passion from the people there is incredible. My brother @timothysonoftimothy will do an amazing job filling in no doubt. I think it’s crucial the band have a presence there and appreciate the band’s support on my decision.”
Clint added: “I’ve done this since I was 18 years old and have loved touring. At this stage I have to prioritize my family and well being. Support my @sevendustofficial brothers. I will join them soon to finish it off.
“God is good. I love all of you and thanks for your support and understanding”.
