Mystical metal newcomers Castle Rat will be out on the road this spring supporting Amon Amarth and Dethklok on a massive North American run. In addition to those dates, Castle Rat have announced two exclusive headlining shows for fans looking for a more intimate dose of chaos. The April 26 performance will see them joined by Sacred Leather, while the May 24 date will feature support from Death Chant.
The tour launches on April 15 in Phoenix, Arizona at Arizona Financial Theatre and comes to a close on May 24 in Anaheim, California at the House of Blues.

The fantasy doom metal act, known for their elaborate medieval costumes and high-concept approach, has captured mainstream attention after a video of their performance at the UK’s Damnation Festival exploded across social media.
The clip, which racked up over half a million views in less than 24 hours after it got posted, features the band’s imposing leader, The Rat Queen, engaged in an intense on-stage duel with their mascot—described as a “hot rat grim reaper”—during a performance that shared the bill with veteran acts like Napalm Death and Corrosion of Conformity.
“One of the best live bands I’ve seen,” declared one fan on Metal Hammer‘s Instagram, while another joked, “Coldplay could NEVER!” A different follower praised the band’s execution, noting: “An animated series and action figures are surely the next step?”
