Cancer Bats To Tour UK As Black Sabbath Tribute Act Bat Sabbath In July 2026

Canadian hardcore stalwarts Cancer Bats have announced they will be crossing the Atlantic for a full UK tour in July 2026 under their popular Black Sabbath-worshipping cover band moniker, Bat Sabbath.

The 14-date run will see the band performing Black Sabbath classics across the UK, kicking off on July 8 in Dover and concluding on July 23 at the Scala in London.

The tour also includes a special stop at the 2026 ‘2000 Trees’ festival in Cheltenham. Fans at the festival will get a unique double-header: Cancer Bats will perform their own material on Friday, July 10, followed by a full Bat Sabbath set on Saturday, July 11.

They wrote in the Instagram post: “UNITED KINGDOM!! LETS F**KING PARTY! BAT SABBATH GIGS AND @2000trees_festival
THIS SUMMER IS GONNA ROCK!!”

Bat Sabbath is the official tribute-band alter-ego of Cancer Bats, a project that began over a decade ago and has since become a fan-favorite live experience.

Formed in Toronto in 2004, Cancer Bats are celebrated for their ferocious blend of hardcore punk, southern metal, and sludge. The band has released seven studio albums, with their most recent being 2022’s Psychic Jailbreak. Following the departure of founding guitarist Scott Middleton in 2021, vocalist Liam Cormier remains the sole original member, fronting the current lineup of Mike Peters (drums), Jaye R. Schwarzer (bass/guitar), and Jackson Landry (guitar).
