Bruce Dickinson Set To Release New Edition Of His 1994 Solo Album ‘Balls To Picasso’ With Two Unreleased Songs

Bruce Dickinson, the iconic vocalist for Iron Maiden, has announced a new version of his 1994 solo album, Balls To Picasso. Titled More Balls To Picasso, this project sees Dickinson revisiting his first collaboration with producer Roy Z, offering a partially re-recorded, remixed, and newly mastered version of the classic record.

“While mixing all my catalogue into Dolby Atmos I had a nagging desire to revisit and reinvent the record. So putting more b*lls into Balls… was a labour of love,” Dickinson stated, detailing the creative process. The revamped album features enhanced guitars, courtesy of “Swedish shredder” Philip Naslund, and “beautiful work by Adassi Addasi on ‘Tears…'” Brazilian composer Antonio Teoli contributed “stunning orchestral arrangements” and uniquely added “indigenous instruments from the Amazon (recorded by himself when he lived there!) at the beginning of ‘Gods Of War‘.” Furthermore, “Shoot All The Clowns” now benefits from a horn section, featuring musicians from the Berklee College of Music. The entire record was mixed by Brendan Duffey, who also worked on Dickinson‘s recent album, The Mandrake Project, with input from Shay Baby, the original co-creator of the album.

More Balls To Picasso will also include two previously unreleased live-in-the-studio tracks: “Gods of War” and “Shoot All the Clowns.” The album will be available as a splatter vinyl double album and a tri-panel digisleeve CD album.
