The Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox vocalists appear on a Grabbitz-produced track due this autumn, Sykes‘ first work with Riot Games.
Courtney LaPlante has sung on stage with Bring Me The Horizon plenty of times. She and Oli Sykes have never put out a recording together until now, and the vehicle for it is a video game.
The two vocalists feature on “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight“, written and produced by Grabbitz as the anthem for the 2026 Valorant Champions Tour. Riot Games confirmed the track this week and released a trailer, made with WMA Studios, that follows the song passing between the three of them in demo form. The single goes out globally this autumn, timed to the tournament’s closing stage.
For Sykes it is a first involvement with Riot. For Grabbitz it is a fourth, he wrote 2021’s “Die For You“, 2022’s “Fire Again” with Ashnikko and 2023’s “Ticking Away” with bbno$, which between them have passed 350 million streams.
“The best collaborations happen when everyone brings a different perspective to the room — and that’s what makes this record so exciting to me,” Grabbitz said. “Oli, Courtney and I came together from different corners of the globe, and landed on a track that sits effortlessly between my electronic world and the heavy landscapes of Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox. The three of us just clicked — and the result is what I believe to be the best Valorant anthem to date.”
Sykes kept it short: “I’ve always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music, so working with Riot Games, alongside Grabbitz and Courtney, and becoming part of the Valorant world felt like a really natural fit.”
LaPlante pointed to the history between the two singers: “I cannot wait to release this song! Oli has given me the opportunity to perform live with BMTH many times over the years, and we’re finally debuting something we worked on together. Grabbitz produced such a great atmosphere and a song tailored to all three of our voices, and Oli went in right away and made it a true collaboration.”

This is LaPlante‘s second job for Riot. She sang “Ties That Bind” for the fighting game 2XKO last year, a title Polyphia also wrote a theme for. Riot handed the 2024 League Of Legends World Championship theme, “Heavy Is The Crown“, to Linkin Park.
Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026 runs from September 24 to October 18, with the top 16 teams playing for a prize pool of $2.25 million. It is the sixth edition of the tournament, which has previously been staged in Berlin, Istanbul, Los Angeles, Seoul and Paris. Earlier Champions anthems include “Superpower” by Julie and Natty of Kiss Of Life with Mark Tuan, and “Last Shot” by templuv featuring 347aidan.
