In a highly anticipated event for fans, Bon Jovi performed their first full concert since April 2022 this past Saturday, June 14, 2025. The exclusive show took place at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of a special weekend travel package orchestrated by Runaway Tours. Given the intimate nature of the event, mobile phones were strictly prohibited, meaning no video footage has yet emerged from the performance.
The 17-song setlist delivered a comprehensive journey through Bon Jovi‘s illustrious 40-year discography. Attendees were treated to a mix of timeless ’80s anthems such as “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “You Give Love a Bad Name,” and “I’ll Be There for You.” The band also incorporated 21st-century hits like “It’s My Life” and “Have a Nice Day,” alongside two tracks from their 2020 album and “Legendary,” the lead single from their 2024 release, Forever. A notable inclusion was the track “(You Want to) Make a Memory,” played live for the first time since 2019.
This performance held particular significance as it marked a key milestone in frontman Jon Bon Jovi‘s ongoing recovery from vocal cord issues. The iconic singer revealed that he underwent a reconstructive procedure known as vocal cord medialization in the summer of 2022. He has been remarkably transparent about his journey back to full vocal strength.
Addressing his current capabilities and future touring plans, Jon Bon Jovi stated at the 2024 Pollstar Live! conference: “I just want to get back to two and a half hours a night, four nights a week, before I’m gonna go out there on the road for real. But I’m confident in my doctor.” This candid admission underscores that while his recovery is progressing, he is not yet prepared for the demanding rigors of a full-scale world tour.
