Bon Jovi Announces ‘Forever (Legendary Edition)’ Album With Bruce Springsteen, Joe Elliott, Jelly Roll And Other

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is proving that even in the face of a physical setback, “we all get by with a little help from our friends.” After his vocal cord rehabilitation made touring impossible, the legendary frontman called upon a diverse group of musical artists to help him create a new version of the band’s 2024 album, Forever.

The result is the upcoming Bon Jovi album, Forever (Legendary Edition), a collaborative project set for release on October 24 via Island Records. The collection of songs features guest appearances from a wide range of talent, including fellow New Jersey icon Bruce Springsteen, Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott, as well as Jelly Roll, Jason Isbell, Avril Lavigne, and Lainey Wilson.

In a statement, Jon Bon Jovi said the project was born out of necessity. “My vocal cord rehab was a well-documented journey that played out while releasing Forever in 2024,” he said. “I was singing well in the studio for recording, but the vocal demands and rigors of touring were still slightly out of reach for me.”

Without the ability to hit the road, Bon Jovi chose to continue working in the studio, a decision that led him to reach out to his peers. He expressed his immense gratitude for the artists who contributed, saying: “The result is an album with a new viewpoint and new spirit — a collaboration album that proves we all get by in this world with a little help from our friends.”

The album will feature a new opening track, “Red, White & Jersey,” which will be released on August 29. The same day, a new version of the album track “Hollow Man” featuring Bruce Springsteen will also be made available.

Bon Jovi summed up the album’s core message with a powerful reflection on collaboration: “I can say with certainty that there is always something bigger than ME, and that’s WE.”
