Hard rock titans Black Veil Brides have announced that longtime drummer Christian Coma will step away from the remainder of the band’s current European and UK tour dates due to a sudden private matter. Filling in behind the kit for the rest of the international run is veteran touring drummer Wade Murff.
The band shared the news via their official Instagram page on Saturday, June 6. The roster change required immediate scheduling adjustments, which led to a previously announced concert cancellation in Milan, Italy.
The official statement from Black Veil Brides reads:
“Due to an unfortunate personal and private matter, our brother Christian Coma will not be on stage with us for the remainder of the 2026 European tour. We apologize for those who have noted the already announced Milan cancellation, but this is a circumstance we needed to make adjustments to handle. Our friend Wade Murff will be joining us for the remainder of the tour after Rock Am Ring, and we look forward to seeing everyone at all of the subsequent shows. CC will be rejoining the tour for leg 2 in the US, please send him love and light at this time.”
Wade Murff, who was announced as Godsmack‘s new touring drummer this past April, commands a well-established reputation in the heavy music scene. Over his career, he has performed and recorded with notable acts including Daughtry, Prong, and Orgy. Wade Murff will handle all remaining international festival sets and headline appearances before Christian Coma returns to the lineup for the band’s domestic dates later this summer.
Prior to heading overseas, Black Veil Brides completed a successful spring North American tour featuring support from From Ashes to New, As December Falls, and TX2. The group will continue their short international leg through late June before gearing up for their “Vindicator II” US tour, which officially launches on August 27 at The Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona.
